The Craft Behind Sara

8 Days, 15 Hands, a Story in Every Thread

Long before it reaches your wardrobe, your kurti passes through hands that have spent years learning a single stitch - dyed, cut, hand-embroidered, washed and checked, one piece at a time.

Ghaas Patti

A 200-Year-Old Lucknowi Stitch

Ghaas patti - grass leaf - is one of the oldest stitches of Awadhi chikankari, first embroidered in the courts of Lucknow. Sara wears this same heritage stitch, unchanged, on every piece.

We started Adhya because we could not find chikankari made for daily life, not just weddings. Every Adhya you buy keeps a karigar's craft alive for one more day. Thank you for wearing it.
